Smugs, Stick and Washalot went to a garage sale at Angry Pixie’s house. There they decide to pool their money and buy a beach umbrella for $30. However, Pixie later slashes the prices to boost sales and accordingly adjusts the price of the umbrella to $25. She hands the extra $5 to Kiki and asks her to return them to the buyers. The buyers on receiving the money reward Kiki with $2 and distribute the remaining amount amongst themselves. Now each person paid $10 and got back $1. So they paid $9 each, totaling $27. Kiki has $2, totaling $29. Where is the missing $1? |
