Moonface and Smugs were watching a game of cricket when an interesting scenario surfaced. The two batsmen X and Y were playing on 98 runs and 94 runs respectively. Both wanted to score a century but their team required only 3 runs to win the match with only 2 balls remaining. It is given that X was on strike and both eventually made a century to win the match. There were no extra deliveries (no-balls/wide) bowled.

How is this possible?
